Mabel M. Smith, 87, of Greenwood, IN died Monday, May 25, 2009. Mabel was born in Hymera, IN on January 31, 1922 to the late Francis L and Julia F. Frakes Snowden. Mabel was a member of Life Tabernacle in Indianapolis. Surviving are two sons and daughter in-laws: Jerry & Irene Smith, Jay & Lana Smith. Two daughters and a son in-law: Judy & William Grieb, and Janet Tucker. One sister: Mildred Brooks. Ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded by her husband, Larnel H. Smith. One son: Larry Smith. Three brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday, May 29 from 5-7 PM. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday all at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorials may be given to Life Tabernacle building fund, 3540 W. Oliver Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46241.
