Obituary

Madeline E. Tryon, 97, of Indianapolis passed away February 3, 2019. She was born September 8, 1921 in Brown County, IN to Harry E. and Ada (Burton) Bell.

Madeline was the matriarch of her family, the glue that held her family together. She was always the one who called the family together, as well as cooked for family get togethers. She was famous for her homemade pies, especially her delectable banana cream pies.  She was the woman behind the man, always keeping her husband from getting too overzealous, and she also helped raise or had a significant input in many children's lives. Madeline loved her garden and would put one out every year. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Tryon; parents, Harry E. and Ada (Burton) Bell; son, Harry Tryon; and 3 siblings.

Madeline is survived by her son, Robert (Robin) Tryon; daughter, Janice Fowler; daughter in law, Francis Tryon; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
