Obituary

87, of Franklin passed away December 15, 2017. She was born May 11, 1930 in Clementsville, KY to Jesse Cole and Flora Allen Pennington.

Maggie graduated from Lizton High School in 1950, then went on to attend Central Business College. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church and a previous member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She and Paul enjoyed traveling and researching genealogy.

Maggie was preceded in death by her husbands, Emory Emerson Taylor and Paul Williams; parents, Jesse and Flora Pennington; son, David Redman; brothers, Arvin Franklin Pennington, Alvin Pennington and Ennis Jesse Pennington; sisters, Marcella Luckey and Uzella Neitzel and one grandson, Noah Shields.

She is survived by her daughter, Doretta (Gary) Shields; brothers, Charles (Peggy) Nelson Pennington, Arvil (Phyllis) Chester Pennington and Thomas (Roxanne) Allen Pennington; sister, Fern (Stephen) Baringer; brother in laws, Verlin Luckey and Jimmie Neitzel; grandchildren, William Gregory Shields, Scott Allen Shields and Michele Lee Raska and great grandchildren, Lauren Shields, William Rogers and Clayton "CJ" Raska Jr.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm with a funeral service at 1:30 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer''s Association. A special thanks to the 2nd floor staff for their exceptional care the last 5 years.
