Mamie Wanda Taylor, age 90, of Greenwood, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Community South Hospital. Mamie was born April 16, 1921 in Ellettsville, IN to Raymond and Edna (Crum) Oliver. She graduated from Ellettsville High School with the Class of 1939.She was a homemaker who spent her time reading her Bible and praying for her family and friends whom she adored. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She married John L. Taylor in November, 1943 and was devoted to him for their whole marriage. He preceded her in death in December 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Ronald L.Taylor; sisters, Lucille Phillips and Mary Seeley; two grandsons, Warren Thompson, and Paul Warren. Mamie is survived by her daughter Patricia (Richard) Warren; sisters, Violet Powell, Betty (Louis) Cardinal, and Norma (Don) Lienhoop; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
