Margaret Maxine (Thompson Johnson) Grogan, age 81 of Greenwood, died at 6:09 am on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Regency Place of Greenwood. Born February 2, 1928, she was the daughter of James Robert and Pearl Mae (Libby) Thompson. She was married to Lawrence E. Johnson and Junior Grogan. She was a member of the Word of Life Church in Indianapolis. She worked at Marion County Greenhouse Growers before retirement. She volunteered at the Barton House Convalescent Care in Indianapolis. She is survived by Junior Grogan, two sons: Lawrence E. (Linda) Johnson, Jr. and Rick (Jackie) Johnson; one daughter, Bridget (Tim) Grogan-Thrasher. Margaret is also survived by twelve grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence Johnson, three brothers and one sister. Visitation will be 3:00pm to 7:00 pm Sunday, February 22nd at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana. Services will be conducted by Albert Eugene Johnson on Monday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be after the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or Feed the Children Organization.
