Margaret Grace Hampton, 86, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012. Margaret was born on December 5, 1925 in Dugger, IN to the late John and Ollie Wilson. Margaret is a Carlisle High School graduate.
Margaret was a beautician most of her life; owning her own salon and working for others. She loved to make crafts, cook, yard sale, and attend flea markets. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her loving son Kenneth (Connie) Chestnut; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; first spouse Don Robert Chestnut; 6 siblings; son Van Robert Chestnut; and husband Harry Hampton.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
