Margaret L. Switzer, Taylor, Scruby, age 84, passed away on February 26, 2008. She was born to Oliver D. and Nora DePlanty Switzer on June 17, 1923 in Bellmore, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William F. Taylor, and 4 brothers and 4 sisters. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1941. Her senior year, she and two girls formed a vocal trio called "The Three Cheers." They were invited to sing at the opening of radio station WISH in July 1941 and were hired to perform on daily broadcasts the next two years. She then became a legal secretary for seven years before joining Eli Lilly as an executive secretary where she worked for 28 years before retiring in 1980. Survivors include her husband, William L. Scruby, stepsons Steve and Dr. David Scruby; 5 step grandchildren; a niece, several nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM, on Monday, March 3, 2008 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S.
