Margie Irene Taylor, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away March 27, 2017. The daughter of General S. and Myrtle Brown Hale, Margie was born January 4, 1933 in Lawrence County, Indiana.

In 1993, after 32 years of service, she retired as a data entry clerk from Eli Lilly and Company.

Margie is survived by her son, Donald L. (Murcia) Taylor, Jr.; her daughter, Beth A. Taylor; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Taylor, Sr., whom she married in Bedford on July 3, 1952 and died on December 23, 2014; brothers, General Jr., Eugene C., Dennis C. and Carl Hale; sisters, Edna Morron, Marie Manion, Eula Ryan, Lois Page, Joea Porter and an infant sister.

Funeral services 12:00 p.m. March 30, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call 10:00 a.m. to service time. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
