Margie Louise Bewley, age 91, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 with her family at her side. She was born October 5, 1922 in Beech Grove, IN to Louis L. and Sarah (Beasley) Thacker. Margie graduated from Southport High School with the Class of 1941. She married John R. Bewley and he preceded her in death on March 8, 1993. She worked at Kingens Meat Co. for a number of years and then devoted her life to raising her children. Margie loved to grow her flowers and she loved solving crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Jeanne) Bewley of Indianapolis and Steve (Dody) Bewley of Camby; sisters, Marcedes Williamson of Beech Grove and Anita Jennings of Fairbanks, AK; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and her beloved Mini Pinscher, Bundy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Dennis Bewley, and daughter, Vickie Ross.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
