Marie H. Elkins, 89, of Franklin, died February 22, 2015 in Greenwood. Born December 8, 1925 in Bradsfordsville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Arstola and Ermma (Ellis) Hall.
She was a graduate of Franklin High School. She married Louis B. Elkins on July 10, 1949; he preceded her in death in 1993. She is survived by a son, Joseph L. Elkins; a daughter, Karen G. Newport; a sister, Wilma Stainbrook, and a grandson, Aaron Newport. Also preceding her in death are her parents; three sisters, Lorraine Winetrout, Norma Orzak, and Margie Hall. Memorial service arrangements will be announced at a later date.
