Marie Kean, age 83, died Tuesday October 28, 2008 at the Homeview Center of Franklin. Ms. Kean, born April 17, 1925 in Liberty, KY to Silas and Mary (Edwards) Clements. Marie retired from the Indiana Masonic Home after 16 years as a nursing aide. She was a member of the Youngscreek Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin and loved to sing hymns. Marie is survived by one brother: Floyd Clements of Cincinnati, OH; two grandsons: Robert and William Young of Arizona; Nieces: Debbi Lacefield and Judy (Taylor) Oliver of Franklin, Phyllis Estes and Brenda Raney of Nicholasville, KY and Sheila Clements of Hamilton, OH. Nephews: Leo Lynn and Jesse Estes of Franklin. Marie is also survived by several other nieces and nephews. Marie also had a special friend in Loren Myers of Franklin. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Helen Young; 3 brothers: Woodrow, Audie and Willie Clements; 4 sisters: Thelma Lynn, Elizabeth Speidel, Maxine Estes and Mandy Clements. Visitation for Ms. Kean will be from 5pm until 8pm on Friday, October 31 and Saturday November 1st from 9am until service time at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 1977 S. State Rd. 135 in Greenwood. Services will be at 10:00am Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Yaden officiating. Entombment to follow immediately following service in the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
