Marilyn J. Phelps , 88 of Indianapolis passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Howard and Ethel Metzger.

She was a member of Drexel Garden Apostolic Tabernacle Church. Marilyn worked at F.W. Woolworth for 40 years.

Marilyn is survived by her children Tari McClure, Debbie (Richard) Leppert, Rickey (Nancy) Phelps, Timothy Phelps and Mike Phelps; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren . She is preceded in death by her husband Emmit Phelps; both parents; brother John and sister-in-law Cricket Metzger and a stepsister Shirley Metzger.

Visitation is Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 12:00 PM until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Marilyn will be laid to rest next to her husband Emmit Phelps at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
