Hornberger

Mrs. Marjorie D. Hornberger, Greenwood, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, August 9, 2022. She was 95. Marjorie was born August 11, 1926 in East Columbus, Indiana, a daughter of the late Jerry L. and Iva E. (Crippen) Richards.
Marjorie attended Edgewood Grade School and Southport High School in Indianapolis. In her younger years, Marjorie was employed at Indianapolis Blueprint Company in the bindery department. She enjoyed bowling and pitching horseshoes. Marjorie dearly loved her family and looked forward to the times she could be with them at family gatherings andespecially playing cards.
Marjorie is survived by her nieces and nephews, Larry (Diana) Riley, Beverly (JD) Mabbitt, Cheryl Turnipseed, Bonnie (Fernando) Villarruel as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. In 2020, Marjorie became a great-great-great Aunt.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie is preceded in passing by her daughter, Janet Sue Richards, her husband, Harold (Pinky) J. Hornberger, and siblings Roy Richards and Betty (Richards) Riley.
Marjorie will be laid to rest beside her husband at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. There will be no public visitation prior to burial. A private Celebration of Life is being planned for a future time.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution in Marjorie's memory, the family has suggested those be offered to the American Heart Association or Disabled American Veterans.
