Marjorie Nadine Henderson, age 83, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 with her family at her side. She was born August 27, 1930 in Danville, IL to Karmen and Goldie Marie (Bond) Shelton. Marjorie was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School with the Class of 1948. She was a secretary for Lutheran Child Services and attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Indianapolis and St. John''s Lutheran Church in Wanamaker. Marjorie married Francis Henderson in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 2006. She loved to spend time with her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Mark and Scott (Patty) Henderson; sister, Marcella Shelton; grandchildren, Emily, Olivia and Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Melvin and Merle Shelton and sister, Marilyn Shelton.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Liberty section. Pastor John Kolb will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Parkinson''s Disease Foundation.
