Mark F Gumm, 74 yrs Oct 6, 1951 – Nov 3, 2025 died unexpectedly Monday Nov 3rd at Ascensions St. Vincents Heart Center from complications after stent surgery.
Mark was born in Indianapolis IN to William F and Grace (Easter) Gumm who proceeded him in his death.
He married Vickie (Conley) Runyon on April 21, 1995 who survives in which they just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this year.
Mark was drafted by the Army after high school and served for 2 years. After getting out of the Army he was employed by Grissom ARB for 35 years.
Gowing up he enjoyed spelunking with his brothers along with camping and mountain climbing.
He had a daughter, Anna in 1976 and enjoyed spending time with her growing up and attending concerts with her. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He loved lawn work and had a very meticulous lawn he was very proud of.
After retiring he enjoyed trips with his wife Vickie to various casinos, going to music festivals and dining out at many local restaurants with his family.
His favorite past time was sipping tequila, watching Football and enjoying laughs with his best friends of 53 years Bill & Barb Wade.
He is survived by our children: Anna Thomas (Jason Holycross), Elizabeth Runyon (Stew Shands) along with the most wonderful grandchildren Sunshyne & Trever Pierce, Sage Thomas, Calvin Reid and Izabella Clingaman.
Also surviving are his siblings: Stephanie & Jim Heiliger, Sam Gumm, Phil & Sammie Gumm sister in law Brenda & Jeff Shuck, Cathy & Garry Gagnon, brother in law Roger & Pam Conley along with 12 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews.
Mark was proceeded in death by his parents, his older brother Mike, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Roy & Carole Conley along with his beloved dog Midnight.
We will have visitation Friday, November 14, 2025 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm in the chapel at Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, Indiana. Entombment will follow at 2:15 pm also at Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Whitestown.
Celebration of life will follow in Kokomo IN at Hampton Inn and Suites starting at 4:00 pm.
