Mark Allan Squire, Greenwood, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. He was 55 years old. Mark was born in Beech Grove, IN to his parents William Francis Squire and Rosemary Squire. During his childhood, Mark attended Christian schools and was raised Baptist. He participated in a variety of sports including baseball, basketball and track. Mark developed woodworking skills alongside his father when he was asked to help build his childhood home's patio. Mark married his wife, LeAna Hall, on his birthday, January 22, in 2022 and they have shared three years of marriage together.
Mark worked as a police officer for the Marion County Sheriff's Office and Warren Township Schools for over ten years. Mark loved to cook and subsequently, loved to eat; he will be remembered for his innovation and creativity in the kitchen. Mark also enjoyed developing his skills as a carpenter and landscaper; he created several wonderful projects for those closest to him. In his free time, Mark liked to go shooting at gun ranges and listen to George Strait's music. His beloved children always kept him on his toes and filled his life with joy. Mark will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, optimistic attitude, and perseverance that carried him through life. He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.
Mark is survived by his wife, LeAna Hall; his mother, Rosemary Squire; his children, Nathan Squire, Alexandra Squire, Finnley Hall, Grayson Hall and Sawyer Squire; his siblings, Sherri (Joe) Spencer, David (Dave Wene) Squire, Carla Squire, Matthew (Sarah) Squire; his nieces and nephews, Chad Sprinkles, Tyler Denham, Mary (Joash) Hair, Samantha Squire, and Ian Squire.
Mark is preceded in death by his father; his brother, John Squire.
A visitation for Mark will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 12:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 1:00 pm.
