Marlene Shepard Miethe, 78, of Indianapolis passed away September 27, 2016. She was born February 7, 1938 in Evansville, IN to William and Grace (Williams) Diamond.

Marlene was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Pioneers of America.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Marlene is survived by her sons, Bryan (Holli) Shepard, Douglas (Anna) Shepard, Larry (Janis) Miethe and Billy (Patty) Miethe; brothers, Edward and Donald (Jo) Diamond; sister, Dolores Bryant; niece, Jamie Thompson and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8 from 10 am - 11 am with a memorial service at 11 am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th St., #100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
