Marlin Knight, age 72, of Camby, died on October 31, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville. Mr. Knight was born on May 1, 1936 in Orange County, IN to Roscoe and Della (Jones)Knight . He married Jacklin K. Jones and they shared 47 years of marriage before her passing.
Mr. Knight retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #103.
Marlin is survived by one son: Dennis Wayne (Debbie) Knight of Goshen; two daughters: Denise Fines of Camby and Sheila (Boyce) Whatley of Midlothian, TX. Mr. Knight had 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother, Roscoe Knight.
Visitation for Mr. Knight will be Wednesday, November 5th from 4-8pm at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 1977 S. St Rd 135 in Greenwood and from 11 am until time of service on Thursday. Service will be at 1pm Thursday, November 6th, at the funeral home with burial to follow immediately following service with military rites observed.
