Marlin Profitt, 81, of Mooresville, passed away August 22, 2014. Born November 4, 1933 in Gillmore, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Thomas and Sara (Banks) Profitt. On April 8, 1965, he married Edith Acres in Marion County. Marlin worked in maintenance for Fairmont Glass Company for thirty three years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea. Survivors are his wife Edith; two sons, Gary Profitt and Kevin Goodman; three daughters, Barbara Port, Patricia Slinker, and Vicki Wilburn, two brothers and four sisters; several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
