Marshall P. Grant, age 80, died Thursday, June 25th at his residence in Indianapolis. He was born June 8, 1929 in Adair County, Kentucky to Ira and Florence (Bryant) Grant. On October 26, 1955, he married Dorothy "Dot" Cross who survives. Marshall was a member of the South Side Church of the Nazarene. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. Marshall retired from Western Electric after 36 ½ years of service. He volunteered for 10 years at St. Francis Hospital. He also loved running and ran in several marathons. He is survived by his wife Dot, son Kenneth P. ( Lori) Grant, daughter Terri Sue (Tim) Hall, Grandsons, Tracy and Travis Hall, and Granddaughters Tiffany Hall, Kenna (Eric) Hart, Jennifer (Paul) Terrell and 3 Great-Grandchildren Grant and Amelia Hart, Carson Terrell. Marshall also has 3 brothers Everett Grant, Eugene Grant and Ralph Grant and one sister Kathryn Smith. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, brother James and sister Edna McGaha. Visitation will be 3:00pm to 7:00pm Sunday, June 28th at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135 in Greenwood, IN 46143. Rev. Carroll Shouse will conduct the service at 2:00pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens where military rites will be accorded.
