Martha J. Butner, 70, of Indianapolis, died Saturday, August 30, 2008 at her residence. She was born on September 8, 1937 to Lyman and Margaret Smith Huntsman. She graduated from Edinburgh High School and had been previously employed as a secretary with South Wayne Jr. High School for 23 years. She was a member of Job''s Daughters and the Sunshine society. She enjoyed reading, gambling for fun and cooking fried chicken. She will be missed by her family and lots of friends. Survivors include her husband of 50 years: Gary Butner, her children: Lora Ann Butner, Lana (Randy) Blake, and Gary Wayne Butner, one sister: Marcial Lane, three grandchildren and two great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother: Harold, two sisters: Juanita Daughtery and Dorothy Mae Chumbly. Funeral visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. St. Rd. 135, Greenwood, IN. The service will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM.
