Marvin B. Parrish, 97 of Shelbyville passed away Saturday, December 27,2025. He was born to the late Wesley and Nellie Parrish.

Marvin likes to go hunting and fishing. He likes to tell jokes. Marvin and Mark attended the Indianapolis 500 for 48 years in a row. How Marvin would love his donuts at church with friends before service. Marvin was a United States National Guard and Army veteran.

Marvin survives by his three children Vicki Parrish, Mark (Sheryl) Parrish and Doug (Stephanie) Parrish; four grandchildren Stacey (Rob) Williams, Calem (Alexa Loncharich) Parrish, Luke (Emily) Parrish and Carter (Jen Sly) Parrish and three great grandchildren Conner Cook, Axle Gardner and Cash Gardner. He is proceeded in death by both parents; his wife of 72 years of marriage Imogene Parrish (2022); grandson Christopher Gardner; a great grandson Shawn Gardner and two brothers Max Parrish and Monti Parrish.

The visitation will be Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 10:30 am until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home , Ben Franklin Chapel. A funeral service will begin at 11:30 am at the Ben Franklin Chapel. Marvin will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with full military honors.
