Mary Frances Babbs, age 86, of Greenwood, IN passed away peacefully on January 29th after a bravely fought battle with Alzheimers.  She was surrounded by her family.

Mary was born August 6, 1934 to Frances Atkinson Rives and Graham E. Rives.

She is preceded in death by her dear husband of 47 years, William Babbs, along with her sister Joan Wilson, and her brother Graham "Pete" Rives.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Susan Ellis; and son William (Tina) Babbs Jr.; her only granddaughter Kathryn (Jonas) Babbs Miller; her brother-in-law George Wilson; along with five nephews and three nieces.

Mary was a lifelong Indianapolis 500 fan and loved to watch the Indianapolis Colts.  She enjoyed traveling and playing cards.

Mary was a past president of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and a 20 year member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org , or to Concordia Lutheran Church, 305 Howard Road, Greenwood, IN 46142.

There will be a brief visitation from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143, followed by a graveside committal service presided over by Pastor Gaschler.
