Mary Frances Hon, age 74, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at her residence. She was born June 6, 1940 in Indianapolis to Dempsey and Corrina (Obermeyer) Barnes and they preceded her in death. Mary was a graduate of Marian College and she taught in Catholic Schools. She also worked and retired from the Marion Co. Probation Department after 35 years of service. She loved to do crosswords, tend to her flower garden and spend time with her family.
Mary is survived by her husband, Roy, whom she married in 1972; son, Doniel (Angel) Hon, of Indianapolis; daughter, Frances (Donald) Hull of Greenfield; brother, Joe (Lana) Barnes, of Greenfield; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Alvin and Daniel Barnes.
Visitation will be Friday, June 27, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. The family requests Memorial Contributions to the charity of the donor''s choice.
