Mary Christine "Chris" Houston (Hanson), 77, of Franklin, IN, passed away on January 29, 2025, at home surrounded by family. She was born July 20, 1947, at home in Robinson, IL to Maureen (Leonard) and Charlie Eugene Hanson.
Chris is survived by sisters, Shirley (Jim) Seaney of Robinson, IL, Vickie (Frank) Houston of Godfrey, IL, Sharon (Pat) Ochs of Robinson, IL, Lori (David) Clark West Union, IL; brothers, Steve (Connie) Hanson of Greenup, IL, Jay Dee Hanson of Robinson, IL; Children, Bobbie Houston of Franklin, IN, Kenny (Suzy Harke) Houston of Franklin, IN, Ronni (Bob) Hucks of Shoals, IN, Denni (Lisa Peterson) Houston, of Mankato, MN; 10 grandkids; 16 great grandkids; nieces and nephews.
Chris is preceded in death by her former spouse, Kenneth Houston; her parents; her brothers, Mike Hanson and Roger Hanson; her great granddaughter, Madison Baker.
Chris was an LPN for 35 years until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was known for her Bear Hugs given to her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
There will be a visitation for Chris at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on February 7, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The memorial service will commence at 1:00 pm. Chris will be inurned at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
