Obituary

Mary Virginia [Craven] Eastes, 101, of Indianapolis, IN ran into the gates of heaven on the early morning of Tuesday, July 4th, 2023. Virginia was born May 19, 1922, in Mooresville, Indiana a daughter of the late Frank and Hazel Craven.
Virginia married the love of her life, Carl Amos Eastes, and together they had two children, a daughter, Judith Ann (Knight) Long and a son, Mark Eastes. They were happily married for over 60 years.
Virginia loved to travel, bowl, crotchet, sew, and tell jokes and was a long-time member of Suburban Baptist Church in Greenwood, IN.
Virginia is survived by her granddaughter, Lodema (Bob) Lines of Indianapolis, IN; a grandson, Mike Deckeras; a granddaughter, Kelli (Kevin) Mederios of Greenwood, IN; 17 great-grandkids; 36 great-great-grandkids as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, Frank and Hazel Craven; a brother Bill Craven; a sister, Jean Smith; a son, Mark Eastes; a daughter, Judy Long and a grandson, Brandon Malson preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, July 17, 2023 in the Apostles Garden of Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood with her son-in-law, Bob Lines officiating. Burial will follow the service.
