Mary Jane (Grubbs) Willbanks, 78, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away at home surrounded by her family October 2, 2020.  She was born February 22, 1942 in Indianapolis to Cecil and Thelma Grubbs.

Mary was a beautiful lady, inside and out.  She could always be found reading a courtroom drama book, sudoku puzzles, or the crossword puzzle from the Sunday newspaper.  She loved going to the movies with her sisters, daughter and grandchildren every weekend.  Mary was the glue that held the family together.  She taught them about unconditional love, always putting others needs and wants above her own.  She was endlessly patient and constantly taught others to forgive one more time.  She had fierce integrity and was always striving to do things the right way.  Mary is loved by so many, and will be greatly missed.

Mary will be fondly remembered by her daughter, Kimberly Willbanks; grandchildren, Hunter Hammond, Christina Honey, and Ryan Willbanks; great grandchildren, Zion and Zane Honey, and Ryan and Christiana Willbanks.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James Willbanks; and daugher, Jamie Willbanks.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 6 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN  46143 with service to follow at 2:00pm.
