Mary L. Hensley, 71, of Franklin passed away February 19, 2019. She was born December 18, 1947 in Akron, IN to Ezra Lewis and Mary Elizabeth (Easterday) Shambaugh.

Mary loved Harley riding, drag racing, Indianapolis Colts, needle point and most of all her grandkids. She donated to the Wounded Warrior in honor of her late husband, Dennis. She loved to sit on the swing with her best friend and neighbor, Kathy and talk about God, life and their families. Mary took care of her family with her heart of gold.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis Michael Hensley; brother, Roger Shambaugh and her parents, Ezra Lewis and Mary Elizabeth (Easterday) Shambaugh.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy A. Hensley and Roy L. Hensley both of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, Jack and Fred Shambaugh both of Akron, IN; grandchildren, Shawn A. Hensley of Franklin, IN and Jocelyn R. Hensley of Greenwood, IN; daughter in law, Stephanie Hensley of Greenwood, IN and best friend, Kathy Hayes of Franklin, IN.

Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood, IN.
