Mary Sue Kellems, 79, of Indianapolis passed away July 31.  She was born July 20, 1941 in Sumner County, Westmoreland, Tennessee to Joel Morgan and Lula Ethel (Jones) Slayton.

Sue was always a spunky lady, always prepared for anything that she may be faced with.  She was a loving mother who raised 4 children.  In her spare time she enjoyed spending time in her garden with her flowers and, more recently, going on cruises with her daughter.  Sue could often be found volunteering at church.  She was funny and fiery, and fiercely loved her family.  She will be dearly missed by many.

Sue will be fondly remembered by her children, Laurie Disalvo, Kim Hummel, Angie Boggs, and Donnie Carter; thirteen grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and her brother Wayne (Zelda) Slayton.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Kellems and two grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 5 from 10:00am - 2:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN  46143, with service to follow at 2:00pm.
