Mrs. Mary Ruth McClintock, Greenwood, passed away on the early afternoon of Thursday, March 31, 2022. She was 84. Mary was born June 27, 1937 in Arjay, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Charles Smith and Amanda Frances (Donaldson) Johnson.
Mary attended schools in Bell County, Kentucky and came to Indiana in her early teens. She was a devoted homemaker and mother and deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mary enjoyed sewing, square dancing as well as listening to Christian and Country music. She loved life. Mary had also attended the Madison Avenue Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by her children, Jackie Medcalf and Mark Carter; her grandchildren, Amy Medcalf, Amanda McCain, and Adam Collar; her step-daughters, Lisa Carlisle and Dennise Schoetrup; her great-grandchildren, Addison, Brooklynn, Alyssa, Kenadi and Paiton; her siblings, Otis 'Bud' Johnson and Rick Johnson as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis R, McClintock; a granddaughter, Kelly Collar and a sister, Wanda Lou Larson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with Rick Johnson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
