Mary Katherine Hughes, 87, of Avon, passed away January 27, 2013. The daughter of Charles T. and Oshia McDonough, Mary was born January 8, 1926 in Beech Grove, Indiana. She was a homemaker.

Mary is survived by her son, Tim J. (Vivvie) Hughes of Indianapolis; her daughter, Kathy A. (Loren) Palencer of Avon; her brother, Tommy (Marcia) McDonough of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

Funeral services 1:00 p.m. January 30, 2013 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
