Mary Janet Noah Jarrett, age 80, of Nashville, Indiana, passed away July 21, 2017. The daughter of Thomas and Helen Martin Noah, Janet was born October 24, 1936 in Memphis, Tennessee.
For 10 years, she worked in custodial supervision for the Center Grove School Corporation and for Simon Properties at the Greenwood Park Mall. Janet attended the New Life Christian Church in Nashville; enjoyed reading murder mysteries novels, non-fiction and Christian books. She would do crafting, making her own Christmas ornaments and greeting cards and making paper angels, embroidery, scrapbooking, working jigsaw puzzles and saw the benefits of adult coloring books.
Janet is survived by son, Matthew C. (Jacquelynn) Jarrett of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters, Cheryl J. Jarrett of Nashville and Dawn D. (Cleve) Bottoms of Indianapolis; brother, Donald Noah; sisters, Frances Napier and Teresa Brown, both of Greenwood and Dorothy Crawley of Kentucky; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lee Jarrett on December 20, 1982.
A private family entombment will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
