Mary L. (Porter) Gibbs, 91, of Acworth, Georgia and formerly of Indianapolis, passed away December 31, 2015 in Georgia. Born March 3, 1924 in Boonville, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Ford and Louise (Hunton) Porter.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Marian (Travis) Houston and Marty (Elton) Kelly; a brother, Robert Ford Porter, Litt.D; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Eugene Gibbs.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, where friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
