Mary Ellen Ober, 69, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away April 26, 2016. The daughter of William E. Jr. and Blanche Agnes Varner Rice, Mary was born June 2, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Having grown up in St. Cecilia parish, she was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Louisville. Mary enjoyed collecting old crystal and china.
Mary is survived by her husband, Lloyd M. Wilhelm of Indianapolis; son, Terry J. (Rhonda), Ober, Jr. of Elmhurst, IL; daughter, Karen L. (Scott) Hutcheson of Indianapolis; brother, William E. (Betty) Rice, III and sister, JoAnn Embry, both of Louisville; grandchildren, Chad, Jennifer, Stacy, Chandlar and Piper Ober and Kristopher and Bryce Hutcheson; one great-grandson and one great-grandson due soon.
Services will be private. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Louisville at a later date. Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, Indiana assisting with arrangements.
Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis - 7929 North Michigan Road Indianapolis, IN 46268-1915.
