Mary Virginia (Jenny) Rogers was a wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world on January 9, 2022at the age of 81.

She was born to the late James E. and Belvia Sturgill on August 2, 1940 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers Winnie Irinee Shepard, James Wilford Sturgill, Henry Clifton Sturgill, Paul Sturgill, Mark Sturgill, Marie Wright and Hubert Wayne Sturgill.

She was married to the late Charles B. Rogers, Jr. They lived together in Indianapolis for 38 years. Virginia is survived by sisters Nellie Fryman and Alice Hughes; brother Junior Ray Sturgell; four children Janet DeFerbrache, Wanda Schmidt, Paul Rogers and Charles Rogers III; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

You have left this plan of existence to walk with the angels. You will never be forgotten.

A Celebration on Life will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Community Church at Murphy's Landing, 7401 South Harding St, Indianapolis, IN.
