Mrs. Mary Margaret Simpson, Indianapolis, passed away on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 7, 2021. She was 85. Mary was born October 13, 1935 in Whiteland, Indiana, a daughter of the late Leland J. and Bertha Irene (Stinson) Alvey.

Mary was a devoted homemaker and she enjoyed traveling and listening to her husband play music in his band. Mary also loved her pet bird and her dog, Scooter. She was a Jehovah's Witness and attended the Kingdom Hall in Mooresville.

Mary is survived by her sisters, Patsy Weaver and Ann (Richard) Stone; her nieces and nephews, Teresa Halsteid, Debbie Densey, Janet Shelton, Mary Ann Ganzel, Rickey Hornaday, Johnny Hornaday and Connie Sechman.

Private burial was conducted at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.

Arrangements were entrusted to Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
