Mary Magalene (Stotts) Montri, 82, of Indianapolis passed away January 4, 2021.  She was born April 28, 1938 in Columbia, Kentucky to the late John and Louisa (Rogers) Stotts.

Mary led a simple life, but was full of joy and was a natural caregiver who raised four children.  For 20 years she worked for Mapco Auto Body preparing vehicles for painting, not once missing a day of work in all those 20 years.  After she left Mapco, she went on to serve in home health care, taking care of others.  Mary was friendly and loved to talk with people to learn more about them.  She cared deeply for the poor in the community and would give the shirt off her back to help them.  Mary was a long time member of the Fairland Baptist Church.  She was also a proud member of the Eastern Stars for over 20 years.  In her spare time, Mary enjoyed visiting casinos.  She was a good cook and loved taking care of her family.  She was so proud of all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.  Mary loved everyone she met and they all loved her back.  She will be missed greatly.

Mary will be forever remembered by her children, Ramona Whittemore, Darlene (Jesse) Aguilar, Vance Curry, and Anthony (Lisa) Curry; brother, James (Shirley) Stotts; grandchildren, Sara Kolthoff, Stephanie Seiler, Tabetha Motley, Charlene (Jeffrey) Coleman, Grant (Sarah) Curry, Monica (Frank) Quattrocchi, Shannon (Rob) Pittman, Amy Carlyle, Jonathon Aguilar, Paul Aguilar, and Jesse Aguilar, Jr.; great grandchildren, Alisia (Zack) Settles, Brienna (Michael) Turner, Dejha Hayes, Chelsea Pittman, Kayla Crawley, Logan Daniels, Jerrica Pittman, Jazz Coleman, Lily Kolthoff, Robert Pittman, III, Javen Motley, Jacob Curry, Hadley Curry, Addison Curry, Emerson Curry, Brayden Daniels, Trace Seiler, Sadie Seiler, Jonathan Aguilar, Jr., and Justus Coleman; great-great grandchildren, Camdyn Crawley, Adalynn Shoaf, Alivia Settles, and Mia Turner; her dear friend James Wagers, whom she loved as a son; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her great grandson, Gregory Hayes.

Family will receive friends Monday, January 11 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN  46143, with service to begin at 11:00am.  Burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 12:00pm.
