Mrs. Mary Emily Trehubenko, Greenwood, passed away on the morning of Thursday, July 28, 2022. She was 93. Mary was born April 14, 1929 in Stamford, Connecticut, a daughter of the late Carl and Mary (Petz) Vollenweider.
In her younger years, Mary had worked as a model in New York City and had lived in Darien, Connecticut until moving to Indiana in 1967. She enjoyed traveling and especially loved going to Europe where she had visited most every country. She also enjoyed going on cruises as she loved the sea.
Mary is survived by her nieces and nephews, Maria (Frank) Vartuli, Robert (Shirley) Blomquist, Frank (Alta) Blomquist, Lori (Angelo) Ferrente, Karen Chiaia as well as several other nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in passing by her husband,George Trehubenko and six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, August 3, 2002 in the chapel at Benjamin Franklin Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood with Pastor Danny Thomas officiating. She will be entombed beside her husband at the mausoleum following the services. There will be no public visitation prior to the services.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution in Mary's memory, the family has suggested those be offered to the Wounded Warriors Project or the American Cancer Society.
