Mary Alice Brooks Wands, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011. She was born in Cape Girardeau, MO. to the late Albert and Edna Brooks. She was a graduate of George Washington High School. Mary Alice was employed as a paralegal for the late Lucille Pryor for 23 years. She was a member of the Lynhurst Eastern Star and the American Legion # 500 Auxiliary. Mary Alice was preceded in death by her husband, John Wands; sister, Wanda Lee Brooks; and two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Brooks; one brother-in-law, Henry Henthorn Survivors include one sister, JoAnn Henthorn; two brothers, Farrel (Marijane) and Richard (Sharon) Brooks; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather in Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM also in the funeral home.
