Obituary

Maryann Wilma Malcom (formerly Matthewson) Tanner, a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, was born 5 November 1942 to Laurence Earl Malcom and Mary Jane Wade Malcom.  She was the second daughter.  She died 10 November 2020 of cancer.  Maryann graduated from Southport High School in 1960.  She was involved with the Red Hat Society, Southport Class of 1960 Reunion Committee and the Grand Matron of the Amaranth Prospect Masonic Lodge.  She is survived by her three children John Matthewson (Indianapolis), Trena (Rick) Fair (Tennessee), and Jay (Nancy) Matthewson (Texas); her sister Barbara (Robert) McGillem (Indianapolis), her brother, Stephen (Elisabeth) Malcom (Columbus), 7 grandchildren, Ben, Drew and Hayden Matthewson, Jimmy, Shawn, Nathan and Alicia Fair; and 9 great grandchildren.  The funeral is 11:00am Thursday 12 November at the graveside, Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.  Pall bearers are Jay Matthewson, John Matthewson, Jimmy Fair, Nathan Fair, Alicia Fair and Stephen Malcom.  Memorials may be sent to Old Bethel and Partners Pantry c/o Old Bethel Church, 7995 East 21st Street, Indianapolis, Indiana  46219.
