Matthew Brenken Ebacher, 48 of Independence, KY passed away on December 26, 2018. Matt was proceeded in death by his loving parents David C. and Barbara (Brenken) Ebacher., Matt is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Bridget (Buschle) Ebacher; children, Lindsey Ebacher, Isabella Ebacher, Cayden Ebacher and Trinity Ebacher; brother, David (Robyn) Ebacher (Norah, Jonah & Anna); sister, Susanne (Matt) Grier (Ellis); brother in law, Tony (Amy) Buschle (Natalie & Dominic); sister in law Tanya (David) Hounshell (Brynn, Seth, Kyle & Hope); special friends:  Nolan Dreyer, Michael and Heather Griffin, (Justin, Tori, Nicholas, Molly and Brenden), Dr. Michael Fletcher (Debbie) and Dr. S. Patrick and Dr. Ursula Whalen ; God children: Molly Griffin; Nora Whalen, Dominic Buschle and Alexandria Rapp. Mother and Father in law, Dr. KY and Margaret Wong; Tom and Denise Buschle and Godmothers, Maureen Barnes Dieball and Arlene Manguno. Matthew was born in Michigan on October 8, 1970. Matt earned his BES from Thomas More College in 1994; BSN in Nursing from Regis University in 1997; NP – Adult Nurse Practitioner, Northern Kentucky University, Highland, Heights, Kentucky in 2004; MSN – Nursing, Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights, Kentucky in 2004. At the time of death, Matt was working at Addiction Recovery Care or ARC where he incorporated the best practices of clinical drug addiction treatment with Christian spiritual enrichment and development; providing addiction recovery that works with a commitment to provide hope and freedom to those suffering from addictions. His passion was to restore productive lives through a recovery program that establishes emotional health, physical wellness, and spiritual growth. Matt and ARC's dedication was to see transformed lives anchored in strong family relationships, meaningful careers, and social responsibility. Matt was a truly gifted man. Matt was never just a provider or a patient, he was a Friend!  a Storyteller! a Mentor! Matt lived life to the fullest! Matt was a life long learner and a Renaissance man who was educated in lots of subject matter (the arts, math, athletics, philosophy, music, history and other cultural aspects of society). He did everything and did it well. He took great strides to advance knowledge for the purpose of bettering society. He enjoyed salt water fish, growing orchids, home gardening, fly fishing and skydiving. Matt was a CCD Teacher and Children's Liturgy Teacher. He enjoyed being taught by his Sen Sei in the Jiu-Jitsu martial arts. Matt played and coached his children's soccer teams. He loved everything biology and all living things. He was a dog and horse owner. He had a zest for life, a strong love and dedication for his wife Bridget, their children Lindsey, Bella, Cayden, Trinity and Jesus Christ. Matt loved life, his family, friends and patients!  Matt will be greatly missed. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Matt Ebacher Memorial Fund at any Fifth Third Bank to help support future education costs for his four children or to The Cystic Fibrosis Center.
