IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maurice Vincent
Angrick, Jr.
March 3, 1939 – November 17, 2025
Mr. Maurice Vincent "Skip" Angrick, Jr., of Franklin, passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, November 17, 2025. He was 86 years old. Skip was born March 3, 1939, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of the late Maurice Vincent and Crystal (McIntire) Angrick, Sr.
Skip grew up on the south side of Indianapolis and attended Southport High School, proudly graduating with the class of 1957. Following his schooling, he honorably served his country in the United States Army Reserves, a chapter of his life he remembered with pride.
A hardworking and capable craftsman, Skip spent many devoted years with CW Sneed and Company as a carpenter before retiring and not being one to be idle, he later joined LD Mechanical Contractors, where he worked in maintenance until his retirement in 1998. His strong work ethic and willingness to lend a hand were known and appreciated by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
In his free time, Skip enjoyed a wide variety of interests that reflected his love for both creativity and the outdoors. He was a skilled woodworker, crafting pieces with care and attention to detail. He loved fishing, boating, and camping, finding joy in quiet moments spent on the water or around a campfire. Skip also had a deep appreciation for Bluegrass music and was an accomplished banjo player. His love of nature extended to gardening and tending to the birds that visited his yard. He enjoyed meals out—especially at Texas Roadhouse—and playing Euchre with his dear friends. He was a faithful member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Trafalgar.
Skip is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Deanna (Heeringa) Angrick; his children, Beth (Brian) Baird and Wayne (fiancé Kim) Angrick; his grandchildren, Renae (Kelly) Fife, Ryan (Allison) Baird, and Quinn (Jessica) Angrick; nine great-grandchildren; his brother, Larry (Rhonda) Angrick; as well as two nieces. He was preceded in passing by his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood, with Pastor Brett Baird officiating. He will be laid to rest that afternoon at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all those who took such wonderful care of Skip during his time at Homeview of Franklin.
