Maurice "Mike" Weidman, Sr. 59, Greenwood, Indiana, May 28, 1947-May 5, 2007. Mike worked for Indianapolis Power & Light, where he retired after 35 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran. His great passion for Baseball led him to coaching his children, as well as being one of the founders of the District 12 Umpires Association. Mike also served on the Center Grove Little League Board of directors and as a District 12 Administrator since 1999. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Bessie Weidman; brother, Stanley Weidman. He is survived by his wife, Pamela G. Weidman of 39 years; daughters, Christina (Alan) Mahle, Tracy (Jeremy) Leggett; sons, Mike (Pam) Weidman, Jr., Matthew (Jamie) Weidman, Ryan Weidman; granddaughters, Madison Riley and Jasmine Marie; brother, Fredrick Weidman; sisters, Beverly (Harold) Dearing, Audrey (Bob) Kortzendorf, Sharon (Mark) McDowell, Sandra (Herman) Detty. Mr. Weidman was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Contributions may be made to the Center Grove Little League. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 9th, with Monsignor Mark Svarczkopf officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 8th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood.
