Mav l es A. Baier, 66 of Indianapolis, IN passed away on October 14, 2020. She was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late Clarence Haddix and the late Lottie Haddix. Mavles is survived by her daughters Tina (Aaron) Rue and Sabrina (Ryan) Konecky, grandchildren Hallie Rue, Lea Rue, Logan Konecky, and Nadiah Konecky, brothers Bert (JoAnn) Haddix, Dana Haddix, and Jim (Susie) James, and sister Angela (Mike) Garvey. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Dale Baier.

Mavles worked at Mascari Corrections for 27 years. She retir ed in 2016 to spend more time caring for her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Mavles loved to give and serve her family, friends, and neighbors. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially during the holidays.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 19 th , from 4:00-8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1977 S State Rd. 135, Greenwood, IN. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 20 th at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mavles' greatest desires were for no one to go hungry and no child to be without toys for Christmas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Refuge ( https://therefugeinc.com/ ) and/or Toys for Tots ( https://www.toysfortots.org/ ).
