Max E. Orman, 81, of Indianapolis passed away October 28, 2017. He was born April 9, 1936 in Owen County to the late Willard R. and A. Fern (Morris) Orman. He married Phyllis J. Combs of Indianapolis on March 25, 1955.

Max proudly served his country for five years in the United Stated Air Force. He was employed by the U.S. Naval Avionics Center for 30 years retiring in 1991.

He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Orman; children, Steven G. (Helen) Orman of Riverside, CA, Rebecca L. (Kent) Conger of Indianapolis, and Michele S. Orman of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Amanda Orman, Emma (Jacob) Masters, Seth (Britny) Conger, C.J. Conger and Craig Orman and great grandchildren, Caylyn Kirby and Landon Masters.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 am, with one hour of visitation prior, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
