Maxine Annabel Allen, 92, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away August 27, 2017. The daughter of H. Russell and Osa M. Swadner Catron, Annabel was born August 9, 1925 in Frankfort, Indiana.

In 1987, after 42 years of service, she retired as a laboratory technician from Eli Lilly and Company. She loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Jane (Timothy) Hudson of Shirley, Indiana; a sister, Betty Wildrick of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Annabel was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Allen; a son, Joseph Williams; a daughter, Dorothy Jo Brown; brothers, Raymond, Claude, Lonnie and Russell and sisters, Mary Helen, Ruby, Phyllis, Lou and Geneva.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on August 30, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where visitation will start at 4:00 p.m. Private burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
