Maxine F. Churney, 91, of Greenwood passed away April 7, 2018. She was born March 6, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Donald and Ethel (Potter) Forney.

Maxine was a longtime member of Our Lady of Peace in Greenwood and utilized her beautiful voice by singing in the church choir. She was an artist and enjoyed oil painting and was an AMAZING cook. Maxine also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Lester.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Lester J. Churney.

Maxine is survived by her children, Anthony (Sherri) Churney, Geralyn Churney, Terri (Gary) Blankenship, Christopher (Cheryl) Churney and Andrew (Angie) Churney; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood.
