Maxine B. Pifer, 79, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Hospice of the Valley in Surprise, Ariz. She was a resident of Greenwood. Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Pifer-Wright (Vester L. Wright III); two sons, Brad Pifer and Steve Pifer Sr. (Karen Earlene Pifer); a sister, Birginia Boyle-Webber; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Olive Boyle; and her husband, Russell Edwin Pifer. Thomas Boyle Jr. A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135 in Greenwood, Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
