Maxine Eva Richardson, age 81, of Indianapolis, passed away June 29, 2010 at her residence. She was born Feb. 7, 1929 in Avon, IN to William and Ruth (Whitlow) Parrish. She was an Administrative Assistant for Eli Lilly for many years. Maxine was an avid gardener,and loved to do crossword puzzles. She played softball up into her 50's. She also was a devout member of Southort Christian Church. She married William Guy Richardson in March of 1966 and he preceded her in death October, 2002. Maxine is survived by her sons, John R. (Missie) Weaver, of Indianapolis, and Bill Richardson, of Indianapolis; daughters, Sara (Bob) Whiffing, of Indianapolis, Amy (Tim) Rust, of Indianapolis, and Michelle (Dennis) Richardson-Liedel, of Greenwood; brother, Joe (Karen) Parrish, of Beech Grove; sister, Mabel Moore, of Camby; 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, July 2, at 11:00 AM at Southport Christian Church with visitation from 10:00 AM to service time and on Thursday July 1, from 4:00PM to 7:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family request contributions, in lieu of flowers, to Humane Society of Indianapolis, or Southport Christian Church.
