Mayme H. Pate, 86, of Whiteland, IN passed away December 22, 2013 at her residence. Born February 2, 1927 in Bowling Green, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Cynthia Ann (Stone) Gann.

She was employed by Zayre''s Department Store and worked as a sales clerk until her retirement in 1990.

She loved spending time with, and doing things for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mayme is survived by two daughters, Sharon Y. (Don) Ellison,
And Karen Phillips; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer E. Pate,
Five brothers, Claude, Marshall, Charlie, William, and Raymond
Gann, and a sister Mary Bell Vickous.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South S.R. 135, Greenwood, IN with visitation from 12:00 PM until time of service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Pastor Joshua Woods will officiate.
